Dr. April Hartman

Resilient Communities of East Georgia

April Hartman serves as the Vice Chair for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and holds the position of Associate Professor at the Medical College of Georgia. She is affiliated with the Department of Pediatrics, specializing in General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine. 


In addition to her academic role, April Hartman assumes multiple responsibilities. She holds the prestigious Hahn Endowed Chair in Pediatrics and serves as the Division Chief for Pediatrics in General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine.

A dedicated advocate and pediatrician, April is deeply passionate about fostering the conditions that enable children to thrive. Her commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is evident through her role as Vice Chair, reflecting her dedication to creating an inclusive and supportive environment within her academic and medical community.
