Angel Young
Aligning Community for Resilience Initiative

Angel Young is an Atlanta native and currently serves as the project director for the Aligning Community Systems for Resilience Initiative (ACSRI) for GCAPP (Georgia Adolescent of Power and Potential), a statewide agency whose mission is to improve the overall health and well-being of young people in Georgia to ensure a more powerful future for us all. Throughout her career, Young has worked in various capacities serving youth and families within the nonprofit sector and state sector. Previously, she served as a project director for various teenage pregnancy prevention programs, a family therapist for Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice, and worked as a graduation coach for Communities in Schools of Atlanta. Young was also a recipient in 2017 for Rural Leaders 40 under 40 and was honored for her work with families and youth within the Southwest Georgia region. Young holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Georgia State University and earned a Master of Education with a specialization of educational management from Strayer University.
