Hispanic/Latinx Mental Health

Resource Connection and Advocacy.

Hispanic/Latinx communities in the United States are diverse and include people from many different nations. Some shared experiences can connect these communities: they may speak Spanish, share religious affiliations, and value familial bonds. Hispanic/Latinx communities show similar vulnerability to mental illness compared to other communities, but they can often face challenges in accessing care and treatment. Without access to treatment, this can often worsen mental health conditions. Thankfully, these organizations are connecting Hispanic/Latinx communities to culturally relevant care and to each other, helping to strengthen community resiliency.
