Regional Coalition: Resilient Communities of Marshland Georgia

Mission & Broad Goals

Resilient Communities of Marshland Georgia works to build a shared understanding of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and resilience while promoting trauma-informed practices and consistent community messaging. Through collaboration, advocacy, and systems change, the coalition brings together partners to strengthen resilience, expand equitable access to prevention and treatment, and improve the wellbeing of children, youth (ages 0–26), and families—particularly in rural and medically underserved communities. The coalitions strives to:

  • Increase community awareness and shared understanding of ACEs, trauma, and resilience through education and outreach.

  • Promote the adoption of trauma-informed practices across schools, healthcare, youth-serving organizations, and community systems.

  • Strengthen collaboration among regional partners through county roundtables, shared planning, and cross-sector engagement.

  • Expand equitable access to prevention, early intervention, and behavioral health supports for children, youth, and families.

  • Advocate for policies and systems change that support long-term resilience and wellbeing across the region.
