Mission and Broad Goals​

Resilient West Central Georgia (RWCG) is working to strengthen trauma-informed systems that support the well-being of children, youth, young adults, and families. The coalition brings together cross-sector partners—including education, behavioral health, nonprofit, government, and community leaders—to build a coordinated, equitable network of prevention, support, and healing. RWCG focuses on reducing Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), strengthening resilience, and expanding access to behavioral health and family supports across rural and suburban communities through collaboration, training, and shared data.

The current Resilient West Central Georgia initiatives that support systems change across the region include:

• Expanding trauma-informed training and workforce development for professionals, community leaders, and caregivers

• Strengthening cross-county collaboration and coordinated systems of care

• Increasing access to evidence-based prevention and parenting programs that build resilience and reduce ACEs

• Advancing health equity by prioritizing underserved communities and reducing barriers to training and services

• Using shared data, regional assessments, and evaluation to guide strategy and measure impact

• Engaging community voices and lived experience to inform programs, partnerships, and regional priorities
