Alex Cory, LMSW
Trauma-Informed Education Coordinator, Georgia Center for Child Advocacy
Alex Cory serves as the Trauma-Informed Education Coordinator at the Georgia Center for Child Advocacy, where she oversees the Connections Matter Georgia statewide initiative. At the Georgia Center for Child Advocacy, Alex has developed a variety of trainings, including Becoming a More Resilient Parent and The Path to Becoming Trauma-Informed. She also serves as a therapist for GCCA’s Leaps and Bounds Program, group therapy for children ages 7-14 with problematic sexual behavior.

 She received her bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Science from Louisiana Tech University and her Masters of Social Work from Grambling State University. Alex has experience as a trainer and facilitator of various workshops and curricula focusing on a variety of topics, including trauma-informed approaches, problematic sexual behavior, comprehensive sex education, sexual violence prevention, and mental health support.
