Pam Romero
Resilient Chattahoochee Valley
Pam Romero is the Vice President of Community Schools United with United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley where she leads the educational equity work of the agency through implementation of The Basics Chattahoochee Valley, Community Schools United, and Resilient Chattahoochee Valley. Pam is a Harlem, NYC native that traveled down south for school (Jacksonville University), and fell for the southern hospitality; making Columbus, GA her home. She has worked in and around Community Schools for over 10 years, in youth serving agencies for over 20 years, and is a proud product of a Community School. Â
Pam was named the 2022 Young Leader of the Year for the East Alabama Chamber of Commerce, and the Sigma Beta Leader of the Year at the 2023 John R. Lewis "Good Trouble" Scholarship Brunch. Most recently, Pam was elected Co-Chair of the National United Way Learning Community with the Institute for Educational Leadership and Coalition for Community Schools.Â

Pam is a Connections Matter trainer, certified group fitness instructor, and Supermom to a toddler and teenager. She enjoys the arts, traveling, and saving the world!Â
