Janelle Harvey
Resilient Communities of Southeast Georgia

Janelle joined the United Way of Coastal Georgia in 2016, following a career as a school psychologist, specializing in children on the autism spectrum. She holds Master of Education (M.Ed.) and Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degrees in School Psychology from Georgia State University. As the Director of Community Impact for United Way, Janelle leads efforts to strengthen the community by bringing together people, organizations, and resources to address the most critical issues facing residents of southeast Georgia. She currently leads the Resilient Communities of Southeast Georgia initiative, a collaborative of local stakeholders dedicated to raising awareness of the harmful effects of trauma and adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and creating a more resilient southeast Georgia region. Janelle also leads the community-based disaster coordination and response organization, VOAD (Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster) of Coastal Georgia.
