Tara Jones

Tara Jones is an engaged community health advocate with multiple organizations in the Savannah, GA region, an area she has called home her entire life. Currently, she is the Wellness Programming and Administration lead for Chatham County Safety Net Planning Council and Project Coordinator with Coastal Georgia Indicators Coalition (CGIC). She facilitates programs in resilience (Savannah Police Department, Chatham EMS, City of Savannah, Savanah Chatham County Public School System, and other organizations), contributes to grant applications, designs wellness programs for government and other organizations, performs data evaluation and report writing, and many other roles. Tara holds multiple accreditations and certifications including Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Behavior Change Specialist, and Certified Nutrition Coach. She has been trained in the Community Resiliency Model, Mindful Self Compassion, and Trauma Informed Weightlifting. She is in the process of obtaining her 200-hour yoga teacher certificate. Tara holds a Bachelor of Health Science Degree from Georgia Southern University with a concentration in Health Promotion and Education and a Master of Public Health from Liberty University. Her most important and fulfilling role is being a mother to a teenage daughter.
