Regional Coalition: Resilient Chattahoochee Valley
Mission & Broad Goals
Resilient Chattahoochee Valley works collaboratively with the Basics Chattahoochee Valley, Community Schools United, United Way of Chattahoochee Valley, and The Community Foundation of the Chattahoochee Valley to improve outcomes of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) in the 12-county region. The coalition aims to foster a resilient community, ensuring children enter school ready to learn, receive support, and graduate high school on time ready for college or career.

The coalition does this through the following three equity-based strategies in cross-sector collaboration:
-
Promoting coordinated trauma-informed practices across sectors to address the systemic causes of ACEs in high-poverty communities, particularly those of color
-
Developing and expanding Full-Service Community Schools, establishing schools as the hub for community resources
-
Proliferating “The Basics Suggest” work across a cross-sector of community partners, targeting the early childhood education and healthcare sectors, to ensure that every child has as healthy a start in life as possible
