Regional Coalition: Resilient Communities of East Georgia
Mission & Broad Goals
Resilient Communities of East Georgia focuses its efforts on educating the community on the impacts of trauma and strengthening support for programs and services among teens in the Central Savannah River Area Regional Commissions (CSRA), rural, urban, and suburban areas of the 14-county catchment area. The coalition includes 14 Family Connection County collaboratives, Wellstar Medical College of Georgia Health, Child Enrichment and the Prevent Child Abuse Council, Augusta Locally Grown, the CSRA Foundation, and the Medical College of Georgia Foundation. The coalition aims to create a network of leaders trained in building resiliency in their regions to improve mental health and ACEs awareness and resources.
To do this, the Resilient Communities of East Georgia is:

Creating a network of leaders trained in building resiliency in their regions to improve mental health and ACEs awareness and resources, helping to transform the East Central region of Georgia

Including trauma awareness in their annual strategic plan and hosting annual summits

Building an advisory council that represents their mission, vision, and values and allows them to impact Policy, Environment, and Systems changes (PSE)

Advancing the workforce through recruitment, education, and development
